Kelly Ripa Electrolux "Juggle" Commercial

This advertisement shows how companies use stereotypes in their ads. Stereotyping in advertisements is a tactic used to appeal to certain groups of people. In this advertisement for Electrolux appliaces they use Kelly Ripa, a succesful woman doing house work. This advertisement is showing the stereotypical woman doing all the house work and with the Electrolux washer and dryer more time can be spent on other house hold activities so that the house wife will be loved by her children, husband and everyone for being the perfect women...or so the commercial implies.

Very old Big Mac 70's commercial

I was born in 1990. This commercial is from the 1970's. It is funny to see old commercials and compare them to commercials now. This commercial involves the fashion from the 70's and you can tell that it was filmed some time ago because of the quality. Now we have HD and commercials look much different. Advertisements now seem to have a different feel to them, they are not straight to the point and this advertisement is all about the Big Mac. This advertisement has people talking about the Big Mac so you know exactly what is being advertised. Some advertisements now have a humor factor in them and might not be totally clear about what the advertisement is trying to accomplish. This advertisement is a bit of a testemonial about people who have had the Big Mac and the advertisment is trying to get people to go to McDonalds to eat.

Peace for Dogs PSA

This is a public service annoucement against dog fighting made by the American Rescue Association. Public service annoucements about animals always seem to make me tear up. This one I thought was really good, the animals are telling their stories, something they can not do in real life. I own two golden retrievers that are from animal rescues so animal rescue is very important to me. I beleive that public service annoucements are great advertisements to get the word out to a lot of people, they serve a great purpose and are for the greater good.

TV Commercial - April 2010

This is a commercial for Fox Valley Ford. Local advertisements are always a bit amusing to me because they obviously do not have millions of dollars to spend of advertisements, so sometimes they can be a bit cheesy. This commercial is not too bad for a local advertisement. I like how they incorporated baseball in their advertisement because it was around the start of the baseball season and could have attracted baseball fans. Overall the commercial gets the point across and is not too cheesy.

Volkswagen Commercial: The Force

This is another great Super Bowl commercial by Volkswagen. This commercial is so adorable. The little kid just wants to be like Darth Vader and use the force but it never seems to work for him. Then the dad comes home and uses the automatic start for his car and the kid thinks that the force has finally worked. Again Volkswagen had used their creative minds to make another wonderful advertisement.

Volkswagen Beetle 2011 Super Bowl XLV television commercial

The Super Bowl this year had a couple really good commercials I thought. This Volkswagen Beetle commercial was one of my favorites. At first I didn't know completely what the commercial was about but towards the end of the commercial I had the 'ah ha' moment. This commercial is creative and funny. It has great music and really works well with the product being sold. I just love this commercial!

Call of Duty: Black Ops TV Commercial: "There's A Soldier In All Of Us"

There are tons of celebrity endorsed advertisements but this Call of Duty: Black Ops ad I believe takes the cake. In this commercial there are many celebrities playing a live version of the popular video game Call of Duty. Kobe Bryant and Jimmy Kimmel are two of the recognizable faces. This commercial is one of my favorite celebrity endorsed advertisements because the endorsing aspect seems very subtle to me. In most celebrity endorsed ads the celebrity is saying that they use the product and love it, this commercial just shows celebrities playing the game in a creative way.
